Cricket

The Kensington Junior Cricket Club runs a comprehensive junior program that caters for boys and girls fielding sides on Friday evenings with teams in U10s, 12s, 14s and 16s.  In addition, there is also a dedicated Girls competition on Monday (U10 & U14) and Wednesday (U12) evenings .  Younger players can join in the Woollies Blasters sessions on Friday evening.

Located at JJ Holland Park, between Kensington Rd and Childers St, Kensington VIC.  The grounds include purpose-built facilities with funding from the City of Melbourne.

  • Cricket ID – open this file for instructions on linking your Cricket ID on PlayHQ. Includes recovering one you may have forgotten.
  • Brand New Participant –
    • Create your Cricket ID
    • Create your PlayHQ account if you don’t have one.
    • Register as a Player, Team Manager, Coach, Volunteer or Official
    • Link your Cricket ID
  • Parent Registering Dependents

Team App Registration (optional)

This season we are intending to use Team App for internal communication during the season.  Team App has both a web site and mobile app.  If you are register for the first time please add your child’s name and which grade and day they wish to play. If you child has a phone they can also register.

Round 1 start dates and Woolies Blasters start dates:

  • Woolies Blaster
    • Friday 18th October 5 to 6/6:30pm.
    • There will be 10 sessions through to 1st March 2025. This may be adjusted dependant on weather.
  • U10 & U14 Girls: Monday 14th October
    • Girls U10s – 5:45pm to 7:45pm
    • Girls U14s – 5:30pm to 7:30pm
  • U12 Girls: Wednesday 16th October. 5:30pm to 7:30pm.
  • U10, U12, U14 & U16 Boys/Mixed: Friday 11th October
    • U10s 5:15pm to 7:15pm ish
    • U12s, U14s & U16s – 5pm to 8pm

Season training launch and FREE BBQ after training commences:

  • Boys: U12, U14, U16 – Tuesday 3rd September – 5-6pm
  • Boys: U10 – Wednesday 4th September – 5-6pm
  • Girls: U10, U12, U14 – Wednesday 4th September – 5-6pm

* Note training times will change the 2nd week of October with the introduction of daylight savings and finalisation of teams.
